Eternals

Status: Open but with some restrictions –Sabella is the first of her kind and the first in Orealis, though that isn’t to say others can’t show up since this race is spread out all over the world. (But seek her out first before you create a character to play one as there is ONE main requirement to have your race as an Eternal)

History: Eternals are blessed as humans by the heavens as being chosen to live forever in a sense. Females are chosen by Artemis the moon goddess and there by having a moon symbol on their left or right shoulder though it seems to be only females born on the night of a full moon or a lunar eclipse. Males are chosen by the sun god Helios baring a sun on either shoulder for them and only those males born during the rise or setting of the sun and/or a solar eclipse. But there doesn’t seem to be a link between any two immortals to another. They are marked at birth with a symbol either on their right or left shoulder marking them as one destined to become Eternal, but that can only happen when they are killed, or die suddenly. The marks at birth look merely like a basic birthmark which is why no one has ever said anything on them before. It is only after they are reborn the true image is revealed. Doesn’t matter the reason behind their death as any signs will over a short period vanish from their body, leaving no scar or trace, but it is necessary and will happen although they are not aware of what is going on till after it happens. (However-should the person die/be killed by having their head removed well that would end there no rebirth) As once they are reborn all their past memories are still there as well as why this happened and what it means for them now. They know that while they look and act like a normal human they are far from it and must try to keep that a secret, but that others of their kind will be coming. Each Eternal can feel, sense another in the area and when that happens the mark on their shoulder will react alerting them, by giving off a burning sensation against their skin. Though it will only last a brief moment.

When they are reborn each person is responsible for training with a blade in order to defend themselves from another Eternal’s attack. Once an Eternal is killed by another Eternal only than will the winner have what is called a Power Storm. It is the taken of the others memories, powers, thoughts everything once they die and keeping as your own, the more you gain the more powerful you become. It also means any other Eternals they have killed you now possess their powers and thoughts, skills. The ultimate prize is to be the only Eternal left in the world, which would make them the most powerful person alive. (Please note the Power Storm is only when one Eternal kills another as only Eternals gain anything from the killing)

The very first Eternal was female, her name Sabella Meluna, born over centuries ago and died during child birth with her son Mitchell Meluna, at the age of 25. She awoke buried in a field of wild flowers and from the moment she awoke knew her life was forever changed. That she could never go back to her family and continue her life as it had been, so she left the only home she ever knew and traveled the world. Gaining knowledge, teaching herself how to wield a sword though she never had prior training it seemed to just come naturally to her. This is how it goes for all those reborn to this new life they already have an understanding that just needs to be molded better.

As she continued on her travels changing her name so that incase someone should recognize her old one questions wouldn’t be asked. She encountered others like her some men, woman and even two that were young children which she took under her wing and helped. That natural born mothering instinct taking over in those cases, but even she couldn’t protect them and both were killed years later by another, a man named Rage who cared not for rules, only power and was out to rid all the Eternals off this world. His one desire was for complete and utter control over all living creatures human, demon and Eternal alike. But his was a short lived dream when he made a challenge to Sabella on holy ground, the first rule that must never be broken by their kind. As he went to make his first swing, he was struck by a pain deep within his chest, and blood soon was seen seeping through his shirt. Rage had been killed with a dagger through the heart by his lover and now with the rule broken he was once more being over taken by that same fate, while Sabella remained just watching. Unmoving to help since she knew what he had done, though would at least give him a proper burial so that he could be at peace before she left the area. Once more continuing on her journey, though where it would lead her even she didn’t know, but being already over three hundred years old she doubts it mattered either. Though it has been centuries since anyone has seen or heard of Sabella and whether she is even still alive is unknown till now.

Characteristics: Eternals are like any other human outwardly, they eat, sleep, work, play just like they had before only difference is now they don’t age, nor get sick anything that a normal human does. They also have the same feelings and emotions that all humans share and sometimes that isn’t always a good thing when it comes to Eternals. But along with feelings they can still break their bones, sustain nearly any type of injury one gets in life just theirs will heal and seem as if they never existed. (Though if your limbs get cut off they are gone they CAN’T regenerate them) The process isn’t instant and does leave them at a rather vulnerable state, since their body needs to slowly assess the damage before it can start to mend itself.

Abilities: Faster, stronger, more advanced than most humans able to heal injuries they sustain over a period of time. Can wield nearly any type of weapon though favor swords.

Strengths: Never get sick, never age, reborn with the knowledge to fight already with them. Can sense and feel when another Eternal is near. (Other strengths vary depending on the person so speak to me so I can make sure you have things normal humans would. So please no mind control or anything like for example a vampire might possess. Eternals can ONLY come from humans)

Weaknesses: (Known to admin and only those who are playing an Eternal)

Breeding: Eternals CAN NOT reproduce since their kind is chosen by the heavens at birth. But that doesn’t stop them from finding a significant other and spending a life with them, though the downside is watching their other half growing old and eventually dying. So some Eternals will have several wives or husbands in their life time.

Rules: *Can only fight one Eternal at a time, so if two or more make a challenge to the same person, it goes to the first person. And once the fight is started no other Eternal may interfere. (That isn’t to say another person of another race can’t become involved.)
*If on holy ground none are allowed to fight, to do so is a death sentence for the one responsible.
*No Eternal is to fight or even make a challenge during the full moon it is a time to worship the heavens and thank them for blessing you with this gift. To fight or even make a challenge is to have that gift revoked. Meaning that however you original died is how you will suddenly be killed again.
*Being killed by anyone other than another Eternal, causes that person/creature to have their mind warped, putting them in a comatose state for weeks. Since the power and all Eternals possess isn’t for any who weren’t meant to have and can harm them and in rare cases kill them. (For Eternals it just means none shall ever gain your power, knowledge, and skills they are just forever lost)
*Their true identity must remain a secret...however you can if you feel they are trustworthy tell your lover/husband/wife. But if they betray you well than guess your choice was wrong. (This is so that Eternals can still live a fairly normal life, not wanting others to look at them differently just because they can live forever. Plus it helps to keep others out for kills and challenges from seeking Eternals out just for fun. After all if too many are killed off by other races than who will win the ultimate prize?)
*The ultimate prize is to be the only one left having the power, knowledge and skills of all the others combined there by being the most powerful Eternal human alive.
